A short list, and a long horizon.

A private office holding a small number of interests — counsel to the Defence sector, Venture Capital and Creative Enterprise.

The office

Serious work, few clients, no committees.

We are a private office with three interests: counsel to the Defence sector, Venture Capital, and Creative Enterprise.

The team behind all of this carries over twenty-five years experience spanning specialist military service, defence technology leadership, and venture building.

The interests

Counsel

Defence & Sovereign Capability

Programme strategy, capability assessment, and route to market for defence technology companies and the institutions funding them. We have sat on the military side and the commercial side of the same table, which is why the awkward question gets asked early rather than after the money is committed.

Venture capital

Early positions, held

We invest where we can be useful beyond the cheque — sovereign technology, dual-use hardware, and the unglamorous infrastructure defence actually runs on. Small positions, taken early, and kept.

Creative enterprise

Written, designed, produced

We write it, design it, and produce it.

How we work

  • Discretion first

Client work is not published, named, or used as reference. If you hear about it, it did not come from here.

  • Few engagements

A handful at a time. Take on more than that and the quality goes, visibly, and usually to the client who noticed last.

  • Two clocks

The advisory work moves at the speed of the problem. The capital does not — positions are taken to be held.

  • Signed work

Everything carries one name. Nothing leaves this office that we would not want to be known for.

Contact

Through someone we both know.

Everything we take on arrives through people we have worked with before. That is not a rule applied at the door — it is simply how the work has always come. If there is a reason we should meet, the person who suggested us is the shortest route to it.
